About
Hi, I’m Em, Managing Director of Autonomic Health.

I’m a born‑and‑raised country Victorian who has spent the past 14 years working across Australia as a physiotherapist and healthcare redesign and transformation leader.

In 2021, my life changed dramatically when I became housebound with dysautonomia, chronic fatigue, peripheral neuropathy, neuropathic pain, and unremitting vestibular migraine. Having previously been fit and active, the sudden loss of function was devastating, and the resulting disability affected every part of my life.

During a long period of rehabilitation, I connected with others experiencing similar symptoms and was struck by the shared frustration, uncertainty, and complexity of navigating care. Whether it was unclear diagnostic pathways, long waitlists, dense medical research, emerging treatment options, or the day‑to‑day realities of living with debilitating symptoms, very few people were having what I would consider an “optimal experience.”

My professional curiosity turned toward understanding the system‑level issues contributing to these challenges. I immersed myself in research, refined my clinical skills, and explored opportunities to create more supportive, accessible models of care.
In 2024, this work culminated in the establishment of Autonomic Health.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence‑informed healthcare for Australians living with dysautonomia, persistent pain, or persistent fatigue — or any combination of these. We aim to empower people, foster connection, and contribute to meaningful innovation, advocacy, and system change alongside our community.
We’d love to connect with you — whether for a conversation or by following along on our socials.

Take care,
